My daughter's 5th birthday inspired me to make my first "cut-out" cake. It was supposed to be a pony. I'm not sure how I made it this long before I attempted one of these cakes, but let me assure you: It's not as easy as it looks.Here is a summary of the comments I received:
- "That's not a pony."
- "That's not purple." (True...It looked more gray in person)

I think it looks like a bloated, blushing chick! But I'm sure it was yummy!
I'm with the "it looks like a turkey" crowd. Though after seeing the reference picture, I can totally see the pony.
It was made with love and besides, if it looked too much like a real pony, no one would want to eat it!

Was it supposed to be purple? I thought it was PINK!
And as for Scott's comment, I can relate with the whole litter-box-cake-thing that took place a few years back.
